Hi, I’m Alexa! I am a Social Work Supervisee with Rock Recovery and I provide individual and group therapy. If you’re looking someone to help you explore the underlying issues to your disordered eating, look no further! I would love to meet with you virtually or in-person at our offices in Arlington, VA.
As a Resident in Counseling, you can expect a space where you feel supported and understood while also being gently challenged to grow. Whether you are navigating a fresh start or finding your next step, I’m here to support you.
Having personal experience navigating disordered eating, I am passionate about meeting clients where they are and supporting them as they build a more compassionate relationship with themselves. All of my work is from a Health at Every Size® perspective. I utilize a person-centered and strengths-based approach that empowers clients to draw upon their existing strengths and resources as they work toward their goals and recovery. I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and psychodynamic principles into her sessions.
I specialize in supporting people navigating anxiety, depression, complex trauma, eating disorders, substance use, and interpersonal relationships. I welcome clients of all identities, including LGBTQ+ and BIPOC clients. I provide affirming and culturally responsive care that honors how identities and experiences shape us and how we experience the world around us.
My goal is to make you feel free to explore what feels true to you, prioritize what matters, and imagine a life that feels more like your own.
