How We Help

We know the road to recovery can be a hard journey. Our team of therapists is here to help you on your journey to healing.

We provide affordable, individual eating disorder therapy sessions to help you navigate recovery and all that comes with it. We cover a variety of presenting concerns including eating disorders, other food and body issues, self worth, shame, anxiety, and depression.

Our therapists use integrative approaches that combine Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Relational-Cultural Therapy and more to best suit each client’s needs. Our team is uniquely equipped to integrate Christian spirituality into the counseling process, according to your needs and desires.

Getting Connected

Meet Our Therapists

Heather Clark, MA LPC – Clinical Director (DC, MD and VA)

Heather is a licensed counselor focusing on disordered eating, including binge eating disorder, bulimia, anorexia, body dissatisfaction, chronic dieting, intuitive eating, and orthorexia. She also enjoys counseling those dealing with anxiety, self-worth, shame, self-compassion, and Christian spirituality/spiritual trauma. Heather is passionate about the Health At Every Size(R) philosophy and approach to work (and to life!). Heather earned her B.A. in Mass Communications in 2007, and her M.A. in Professional Counseling in 2015.

Adrian Hosler - LGPC (DC and MD)

Therapist

Adrian joined the Rock Recovery team as a counseling intern in 2022 and completed her Master’s in counseling from Adams State University. She has supported communities with suicide prevention and helped domestic violence survivors regain control of their lives. She is passionate about facilitating groups that connect individuals navigating life’s ups and downs. Adrian enjoys empowering people through collaborative and culturally inclusive therapy. She is an LGPC in D.C. and Maryland.

Brigitte Sandoval - Clinical Intern

Brigitte “Bri” joined Rock Recovery as a Clinical Intern in January 2024. She is pursuing her MA in Clinical Psychology through Pepperdine University. Bri is passionate about supporting clients on their healing journey, emphasizing the mind-body connection. She takes a holistic approach to dealing with life's challenges and promotes change through mindfulness and acceptance.

Tasi James - Resident in Counseling

Natasia "Tasi" James is a Resident in Counseling in the state of Virginia. She received her Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2021 at the University of Kentucky. She has a wide breadth of experience in the mental health field, including experience with both adolescents and adults with eating disorders in the Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient levels of care. Expect Tasi's energy to be upbeat, warm, compassionate, and humorous. Her approach is to create a space for clients to feel comfortable and safe, encourage self-exploration to resolve core issues regarding their disordered eating/negative body image, and help clients to evolve in their authenticity. She is passionate about creating inclusive spaces, and access to high quality of care for underserved communities.

Rebekah Haile

Resident in Counseling

Rebekah is a Resident in Counseling in the state of Virginia, dedicated to providing quality care to those suffering with eating disorders. She also has several years' experience working as a Licensed Educational Psychologist with a specialization in Clinical & Educationally Related Mental Health Counseling in the public school setting. Rebekah is passionate about providing trauma-informed care and addressing complex situations from a person-centered approach. She is also excited to integrate faith in individual therapy with those who desire to explore their food and body issues from a spiritual lens.  

Jey Wayne, MA – Resident in Counseling

Jey is a Resident in Counseling; she provides individual counseling and group therapy services to residents in Virginia. Jey received her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern New Hampshire University in 2022 and joined the Rock Recovery team in 2023. Jey has experience working with a wide variety of populations, including children, teens, adults, and families. She is passionate about helping individuals overcome cultural and social barriers to find their authentic selves. Jey uses empathetic, holistic, person-centered approaches while integrating different theoretical approaches such as DBT, CBT, and some art and play therapy approaches.

Ashley Davis - Clinical Intern

Ashley joined Rock Recovery as a Counseling Intern in August 2023. She earned her BA in Psychology from Vanderbilt and is currently pursuing her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Wake Forest University. Ashley is passionate about helping clients form positive relationships with food and their bodies and uses holistic, person-centered, and mindfulness approaches in her work.

Isabelle Koene - Clinical Intern

Isabelle joined Rock Recovery in January 2024 as a Group Facilitator. She earned her BA in Biology from The College of New Jersey and is pursuing her MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Capella University. She is passionate about helping individuals find freedom with their relationships with food and is drawn to a person-centered counseling approach, mindfulness, and using acceptance strategies while working with clients with disordered eating and co-occurring disorders such as anxiety and depression.
