Join Rock Recovery and The Renfrew Center for a free, live interactive training on eating disorder recovery in the era of Ozempic, available to all professionals nationwide!
As medications like semaglutide gain widespread attention, individuals with eating disorders may experience heightened pressure to intentionally pursue weight loss. This workshop provides an overview of semaglutide-based products, a critical review of current research, and an examination of their implications for eating disorder treatment and recovery.
Participants will explore the impact of weight stigma, ethical considerations, and the potential for these medications to exacerbate symptoms or interfere with long-term recovery goals.
Practical tools will equip clinicians to navigate these complex conversations, implement weight-neutral interventions, challenge beliefs rooted in weight stigma, and explore strategies to reduce harm.
