YOUR support will help teens struggling with an eating disorder in 2026!
The unique pressures facing youth today have contributed to an ongoing youth mental health crisis. The National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders shares that: 77% of children and adolescents as young as 12 dislike their bodies, almost 70% of young girls are trying to lose weight by age 14, and eating disorder–related medical visits for youth have surged by 93% in recent years.
Since 2023, Rock Recovery has provided life-changing mental health care to teens and families in our community. In 2026, we plan to replicate our successful Teen Bridge to Life program and launch our first-ever virtual teen therapy group - a need many families in the community have urgently requested.
This GivingTuesday we had a goal to raise $10,000 in 24 hours so that more high school students across Maryland and Virginia can access life-saving therapy and a supportive community. Every gift was doubled by Rock Recovery program graduate Teresa, as she matched all gifts made up to $10,000!
Early intervention is critical and it saves lives - just like it did Teresa's! She came to Rock Recovery just out of her teen years, desperate for help and community. Today she is thriving, enjoying life with her family, and giving back so other teens don’t have to struggle alone (read her full story here).
